Economic confidence boosts IT sector
IT contractors could be about to benefit from improving confidence in the economy, experts have suggested.
According to the IT Job Board, businesses in the UK are becoming increasingly optimistic about the long-term stability of the economy.
This, it said, is leading to growth in the IT jobs sector, a development that could create a number of new opportunities for IT contractors.
"More projects are being signed off as businesses grow in confidence," said Jamie Bowler, head of marketing at the IT Job Board.
He added that businesses are now rebuilding following the news that the British economy has come out of recession.
According to the Office for National Statistics, economic output in the UK went up by 0.1 per cent during the final quarter of 2009.
However, Mr Bowler said any forthcoming changes carried out businesses would be a gradual evolution rather than a sharp and sudden shift in direction.
